Our Board of Directors is growing! Meet the four newest additions to the INRS Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Four leaders from the business community were elected to the INRS Foundation’s Board of Directors at the annual meeting of members held on August 31. We are delighted to introduce you to Cynthia Bélanger, Mylany David, Benoit Turcotte, and Sue Wehner.
Ms. Cynthia Bélanger, ASC, is vice president, Development, Business Transfer and Financing, at Desjardins Wealth Management. Appointed by the INRS Board of Directors, she has over twenty years of experience in finance. She holds an MBA from Université de Sherbrooke and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Université du Québec à Rimouski. She is a Fellow of the Securities Institute, a portfolio manager (CIM), a financial planner and a certified corporate director (ASC).
Ms. Mylany David is a partner and member of the board of directors of Langlois Avocats. She practices commercial and real estate law and specializes in real estate, commercial and industrial transactions, as well as in the implementation of energy and infrastructure projects. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Université de Montréal and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1999. She is regularly recognized as a leader in commercial and energy law.
Mr. Benoit Turcotte is a partner in the U.S. Tax Group at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton in Montréal. With nearly 20 years of tax expertise, he has assisted clients in Canada-U.S. cross-border transactions and reorganizations in various industries such as aerospace, software, pulp and paper, and financial services. He holds a master’s degree in taxation from Golden State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance and mathematics) from HEC Montréal.
Ms. Sue Wehner is the founding president of Med-Script Associates Ltd., a firm specializing in regulatory affairs (Canada, United States, Europe) for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Since 1972, Med-Script has advised on, filed and approved hundreds of pharmaceutical, biologic and clinical trial applications and patents for a wide range of health-related research. Wehner holds a B.A. in chemistry and English literature from Boston University.
Ms. Martine Vanasse, Chair of the Board of Directors of the INRS Foundation and Chief Compliance Officer of PSP Investments, is pleased to present her new recruits:
