The Arbour Scholarship Competition is back!
The 2023 edition of the Arbour Scholarship Competition is not to be missed. Since 2005, the Fondation Arbour has contributed to the advancement of education in Quebec by offering scholarships in fields likely to encourage its economic development. The program is aimed at students whose research topic is related to the fields of engineering and computer science. International students are also eligible.
Each year, the Fondation Arbour awards a maximum of six scholarships per partner institution. For INRS, this represents up to three applications for the $20,000 master’s scholarships (research or professional) and three for the $30,000 doctoral scholarships. These scholarships are for one year, renewable for a second year. Key selection criteria include the applicant’s financial situation and perseverance. Leadership and academic excellence are also considered.
Our partner provides financial support to rising stars to enable them to reach their full potential. In addition to generous scholarships, the programme also includes mentoring, entrepreneurial coaching and networking opportunities that open up new career possibilities.
Doctoral students Ludivine Lafosse (Water Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Jacob Stolle at the Centre Eau Terre Environnement), and Rita Nehmé (Virology and Immunology, under the supervision of Professor Yves St-Pierre at the Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie) were the first recipients of the program offered at INRS in 2022, an initiative of the INRS Foundation.
We invite eligible INRS students to submit their applications to the Service des études supérieures et de la réussite étudiante by June 16, 2023.
Good luck to all!
