Student Convention from November 8 to 12
Created in 2009 by student-researchers of the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), the Armand-Frappier Convention is now one of the biggest Francophone scientific activities in Quebec. The INRS Foundation is proud to support its student community as Gold Sponsor of the convention’s 12th edition.
This year, the convention will take place virtually from November 8 to 12. It’s an opportunity for graduate students in bioscience to present their findings, attend high-quality conferences, and network. The 12th edition of the convention will include a new Career Fair on Friday, November 12, to allow INRS graduates in biotechnology and environment to meet with recruiters from their field.
The objective of the Armand-Frappier Convention is based on different guiding principles such as knowledge transfer, commercialization of university research, and the facilitation of exchange and communication in the field of biosciences. This objective fits perfectly with the Foundation’s mission to mobilize donors to accelerate the growth of INRS and highlight its graduates.
“Science communication and the impact of research contribute to the improvement and progress of the economic, social, and cultural aspects of our societies,” says Élise Comtois, Director of the INRS Foundation. “Initiatives such as the convention are essential because they help the new generation of scientists develop these abilities, and make our entire community proud. The Foundation is pleased to support the organizing committee and the student community to ensure that the 2021 Armand-Frappier Convention gets the success it deserves.”
We are looking forward to seeing you online from November 8 to 12.
