Great news! On May 1, 2021, the INRS Foundation became a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. Your donations to the Foundation are now eligible for an official donation receipt for income tax purposes. In addition, this status provides our donors and stakeholders with a high level of transparency in terms of accountability. Indeed, as of the 2021-2022 fiscal year, our annual declaration will be available on the CRA website.
As of June 1, 2021, we are using our new number 725310676 RR 0001 to issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes. Your donations made through this website are eligible for a receipt issued by the INRS Foundation and for a donation tax credit in Canada.
A two-time INRS graduate, Guillaume Côté was part of the strategic committee that led to the creation of the INRS Foundation in May 2020. He now sits on our Board of Directors. Given his long-standing commitment to INRS and its alumni network, he wanted to be the first donor, to encourage his peers to do the same:
“Many are working to strengthen our communities, each in their own way. Giving to the INRS Foundation is a way to contribute to scientific excellence and its impact on economic, social and cultural development. I invite you to support the Foundation’s mission so that future generations can be equipped and motivated to give in turn.”
This is a concrete gesture to accelerate the development and influence of INRS and its network of graduates. Thank you Guillaume!
