Congratulations to our graduate Marie-Pierre Ippersiel (Ph.D. urban studies, 2004), who has just been appointed Co-Chair of the Net-Zero Advisory Body. This independent group of 14 experts will advise the Government of Canada on the best pathways to achieve its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.

Since 2016, Ms. Ippersiel has been President and Chief Executive Officer of PRIMA Quebec, an advanced materials research and innovation hub. She is the recipient of a Prix Lumières award from the INRS Foundation.
