Thanks to the support of the Fondation J.A. DeSève, the INRS Foundation is announcing the creation of ten scholarships totalling $45,000 that will be offered for the year 2021-2022 to graduate students of the Centre Urbanisation Culture Société of the Institut national de la recherche scientifique.

The scholarships, worth $4,000 at the master’s level and $5,000 at the doctoral level, will be awarded by a selection committee set up by the research centre. The new scholarships are aimed at students who will be in their fourth semester of enrolment in the fall of 2021 and who have an excellent academic record, but who are not receiving scholarships from granting agencies.

In order to encourage student perseverance in the current context, the scholarships will be paid out in two instalments, in June and October. In addition, one scholarship per level will be reserved for students who also demonstrate student and civic engagement.

DeSève Foundation with a meeting that took place last fall with representatives of the Centre Urbanisation Culture Société (AEUCS) student association in mind. We are happy to contribute to multiplying the forms of support to the INRS community,” says Élise Comtois, director of the Foundation.
