Scholarships open

The 2023-2024 competitions for the Career Transition Scholarship, the INRS Foundation Board Scholarship, and the Rio Tinto Scholarships for Diversity in Science at INRS are open until November 5, 2023.

These scholarships aim to support, encourage and recognize the work of members of the INRS student community. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, five students will receive financial support totalling $40,000 this fall, which will enhance the conditions offered to them by INRS.

Career Transition Scholarship

All centres • Deadline: November 5, 2023

In line with the Institut national de la recherche scientifique’s (INRS) equity, diversity and inclusion objectives, INRS senior management has created the INRS Career Transition Scholarship. The $5,000 scholarship, awarded for the first time in the winter of 2022, is designed to provide support for new students returning to school after a variety of personal and professional experiences.

INRS Foundation Board Scholarship

Centre Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications • Deadline: November 5, 2023

Two INRS Foundation Board Scholarships of $2,500 are offered to recruit and support more students in the master’s and doctoral training programs of the Centre Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications, where women tend to be under-represented. The scholarship improves the conditions of study offered by INRS to the recipient.

Two new Rio Tinto Scholarships for Diversity in Science aim to promote the representation of a diverse range of students in science. More specifically, they support women, people from sexual or gender minorities, people with disabilities, aboriginal people, people from racialized or ethnic minorities, and neurodivergent people in the next generation of scientists being trained at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) to tackle the various issues affecting the environment and human health. développement durable.
