Our Fall 2025 Scholarships

The fall competition for scholarships offered by the INRS Foundation is now open. INRS students: take this opportunity to submit your application for one of the scholarships offered in our five programmes. Don’t delay, the deadline is 31 October.

Our scholarships aim to support, encourage and recognize the work of members of the INRS student community. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, seven students will receive a total of $21,000 in financial support, which will enhance the conditions offered to them by INRS. This fall, two additional scholarships are reserved for students from Indigenous communities.

Career Transition Scholarship

All centres • Deadline: 31 October 2025 • 1 x $5,000

In line with the Institute’s objectives in terms of equity, diversity and inclusion, INRS senior management has created the INRS Career Transition Scholarship. Awarded for the first time in winter 2022, the grant aims to support new students who are returning to school after having had various personal and professional experiences. The grant enhances the study conditions offered by INRS to the recipient.

Fondation de l’Université du Québec Scholarships

All centres • Deadline: 31 October 2025 • 2 x $3,000

The scholarships have been awarded since 2022–2023 to promote accessibility to university studies and celebrate the diversity of the student community at INRS. The two scholarships offered this fall are intended to support and recognise the achievements of our Indigenous students. They enhance the study conditions offered by INRS to the recipients.

INRS Foundation Board Scholarships

Centre Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications • Deadline: 31 October 2025 • 2 x $2,500

Thanks to the generosity of the members of the INRS Foundation Board of Directors, two $2,500 scholarships have been offered since 2022 to recruit and support more female master's and doctoral students in the training programmes at the Centre Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications research and training centre, where women tend to be under-represented. The scholarship enhances the study conditions offered by INRS to the recipient.

Suzanne-Parenteau Scholarship

Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie • Deadline: 31 October 2025 • 1 x $3,000

Offered for the first time in 2024, the Suzanne Parenteau Scholarship, created thanks to a donation from the Rita Henry-Breault and Gilles Breault Foundation, aims to provide financial support to INRS students conducting research and knowledge mobilisation work that contributes to a better understanding of the role and effects of endocrine disruptors on female reproductive health and the mammary gland. This scholarship improves the study conditions offered by INRS to the recipients.

Fondation Rita Henry-Breault et Gilles Breault Scholarship

Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie • Deadline: 31 October 2025 • 1 x $2,000

The Rita Henry-Breault and Gilles Breault Foundation Scholarship has been available since 2024 to provide financial support to INRS students conducting research and knowledge mobilisation work that promotes a better understanding of the social aspects of the quest for pregnancy and the use of mobile fertility applications. This scholarship enhances the study conditions offered by INRS to the recipients.

Applications submitted via online forms will be evaluated by INRS faculty committees administered by thele Service des études supérieures et de la réussite étudiante.

Additional scholarships will be offered in winter 2026.
