On October 8, 2025, the INRS Foundation celebrated its very first INspiRationS Day. Much more than a fundraising campaign, this day is a new tradition to highlight the people in our community who inspire us and to show the power of collective momentum.
On each of the INRS campuses, the Foundation's kiosks welcomed many staff members, faculty, and students who came to make a philanthropic gesture, write a word of encouragement to someone who inspires them, or simply share a moment of conviviality.
Through the INspiRationS chain, some 70 inspirational messages were shared. During the day, the community also took part in the INspiRationS butterflies activity, writing down what inspires them at INRS: colleagues, students, projects, discoveries, shared values. The colorful walls that filled up over the course of the day are a testament to the human richness behind the science that drives our institution.
The enthusiasm generated demonstrates how recognition and generosity are an integral part of the INRS culture.
The Foundation warmly thanks everyone who took part in this first INspiRationS Day, whether by visiting our booths, writing a note, or making a donation. Your participation brought to life this wonderful celebration of what unites us.
Thanks to you, more than 75 acts of generosity were made and $12,000 was raised to support our institution and our student community.
