Over the past few weeks, the INRS Foundation has supported two flagship events in student life and scientific outreach at INRS: the Centre Eau Terre Environnement conference and the Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie conference.
These scientific events, organized entirely by and for INRS students, are special opportunities to promote knowledge sharing, professional development, and interdisciplinary and interuniversity collaboration.
The Centre Eau Terre Environnement Student Conference took place on September 25 and 26 in Quebec City. Open to all Quebec students working in the fields of water, earth, and environmental sciences, the event focused on scientific outreach and knowledge communication. Discussions, presentations, and networking sessions highlighted the value of research while encouraging young scientists to present their work in new ways.
For its part, the Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie Conference, organized since 1999 by students at the Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie, brings together nearly 200 participants every two years. The 2025 edition, themed “Pluripotent Health: Cultivating All Knowledge,” offered graduate students and postdoctoral fellows a unique opportunity to present their research, engage with renowned speakers, and promote French-language research in the biosciences.
The Foundation is proud to have contributed to the success of these two events as a sponsor, demonstrating its commitment to the next generation of researchers. Our team's presence at these events allows it to take the pulse of emerging issues addressed by its student community and participate in numerous enriching exchanges about its mission and the scholarships offered to support INRS students.
By supporting these initiatives, the Foundation reaffirms its essential role in promoting student development and supporting the training of young scientists who are shaping the future through research.
