At the September 23 board meeting, INRS Foundation Board Chair Mylany David, lawyer and mediator at Langlois Avocats, completed her term and passed the torch to Caroline Montminy, Vice President at Burgundy Asset Management.

The Chair of the Governance, Ethics, and Human Resources Committee, Martine Vanasse, Chief Compliance Officer at PSP Investments, expressed the Board of Directors' deep appreciation for her outstanding commitment during her tenure. “Mylany has performed her duties with exemplary dedication, consistent rigor, and impeccable integrity, contributing significantly to the Foundation's reputation and credibility,” she said.

“Her expertise in corporate law, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as her leadership in governance, have helped strengthen the foundations of our organization. She has used her skills to raise the profile of INRS in the business world and promote its remarkable mission.”

Ensuring a smooth transition, the Board of Directors elected Caroline Montminy as Chair of the Board for a two-year term. "Caroline has solid experience in governance and philanthropic engagement, and I am confident that she will continue the work begun with rigor and passion. Her contribution to the transfer of endowment funds and as chair of the investment committee has already proven essential to the Foundation. Her invaluable participation in the transfer of endowment funds and the creation of the investment committee has been instrumental in the Foundation's operations and success," said Mr. Vanasse.

The Foundation warmly thanks Mylany David for her invaluable contribution and welcomes Caroline Montminy to her new role.

About Caroline Montminy

Caroline Montminy, CFA, is Vice President at Burgundy Asset Management and head of the firm's private wealth management services in Quebec. In this role, she manages the portfolio of private clients and foundations. She was previously responsible for institutional relations in the United States, specializing in the university and private foundation sector. Before joining Burgundy, Ms. Montminy was Director of Investor Relations and Marketing at Clairvest Group, a private investment firm.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in finance from the University of Ottawa and an MBA in investment management from Concordia University. She completed a certificate in personal financial planning at HEC Montréal and holds the titles of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Planner (Pl. Fin.).

Ms. Montminy is a member of the board of directors of the Montreal Economic Institute and a member of its investment committee. She is also a member of the executive committee of the Cercle Forces Femmes and the investment committee of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She has also completed the NPO program at the Institute of Corporate Directors. She joined the board of the INRS Foundation in March 2023. As a director, she has served on the audit and finance committee and chaired its investment committee.
