The INRS Foundation and the INRS Service des partenariats stratégiques et du soutien à l'innovation (SePSSI) announce the return of the FISES (Fondation de l'INRS et du SePSSI pour l'entrepreneuriat scientifique) scholarships. After a successful launch last October, this scholarship program continues to support and encourage aspiring entrepreneurs from the INRS student community.
Worth a total of $10,000 in 2024-2025, FISES scholarships enable students∙e∙s to take a key step in validating their business idea and its development potential.
For this second competition, $6,000 is available for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, depending on the stage of advancement of the entrepreneurial project. Applications will be accepted until noon on March 7, 2025.
Interested students can submit their application via the online form and send it to sepssi@inrs.ca. All applicants will benefit from SePSSI's entrepreneurship coaching services.
The selection committee is composed of :
- Élise Comtois, Executive Director of the INRS Foundation
- Caroline Montminy, Vice-President of Burgundy Asset Management and member of the INRS Foundation Board of Directors
- Karine Souffez, Director, Strategic Partnerships and Innovation Support, INRS
- Marc-André St-Yves, 2022 graduate of the INRS Master's program in knowledge mobilization and transfer, and Lead Research and Innovation at Espace inc.
With this initiative, the INRS Foundation and SePSSI are pursuing their commitment to promoting innovation and scientific entrepreneurship by supporting students entrepreneurial ambitions.
