Impulsion INRS: From ideas to actions through philanthropy

For more than 50 years, the INRS community has played an active role in Québec’s economic, social, and cultural development thanks to its renowned interdisciplinary research model and by training the next generation of highly-qualified scientists.

It is in this spirit of innovation, growth acceleration, and collaboration that the Foundation launched Impulsion INRS in 2020, a biannual call for proposals allowing our researchers to further develop their projects through philanthropic support. To date, 17 initiatives have been selected by the INRS qualification committee, and we hope to add several more before the end of 2021.

Projects submitted and assessed under Impulsion INRS are open to research teams from the four INRS Centres: Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie Research Centre, Eau Terre Environnement Research Centre, Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications Research Centre et Urbanisation Culture Société Research Centre, and must clearly demonstrate their ability to generate benefits for communities, a key motivation for donors.

The Foundation’s team members are available to answer your questions and help you develop your proposal. Do not hesitate to contact Julie or Élise to discuss your idea.

As usual, we are also offering two coaching workshops via Zoom:

  • Wednesday, November 17, from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. and
  • Wednesday, November 24, from 1:30 to 2:00 pm.

Youre working on a project with high philanthropic potential, that allows knowledge transfer, and has a tangible and lasting impact on the main issues facing Québec society? Submit it by Wednesday, December 1st.
