INRS champion in research intensity
The leadership position and remarkable performance of the scientific teams at the National Institute for Scientific Research (INRS) are confirmed by the most recent authoritative ranking among university research institutions across the country.
INRS has been ranked number one in Quebec for twelve years now in terms of research intensity. In Canada, it took the first position, progressing from second to first for the year 2018-2019.
Indeed, according to the ranking published by Research Infosource today, the INRS has taken the first place in the ranking of Canadian universities in terms of research intensity, surpassing McMaster University, the University of Toronto, McGill University, Queen's University and Université de Montréal. INRS has higher funding per faculty member ($482,500/professor) and per student member ($108,400/graduate student).
Relatively modest in size, INRS has been ranked number one in Quebec for twelve years now in terms of research intensity. In Canada, it took the first position, progressing from second to first for the year 2018-2019.
Congratulations to our scientific community for this remarkable achievement!
